Ports in Asia & Oceania have seen back-to-back disruptions from the compounding events of Typhoon Dolphin (August 6 – 10) and Typhoon Saudel (August 25 – 28). Typhoon Saudel forced temporary shutdowns at the ports of Shanghai, Ningbo, and Yantian in China, with operations restored by August 28. Logistics impacts were also recorded in Japan and Taiwan, with air freight and road freight disrupted in addition to the operational impacts at ports.
