Tight Space Across Modes Limits Shenzhen Export Options

Shippers and forwarders searching for space on rail, road, or air out of the choked Shenzhen and Guangzhou port terminals are having little success as months of strong demand and pandemic measures have used up all the flexibility in the overloaded South China logistics system.

The woes have only been exacerbated by the recent COVID-19 outbreak at the critical Yantian International Container Terminals, whose 20 berths form part of the giant Shenzhen port complex.
